Meet the Founders
Harmony & Hounds was founded by Wendy and Heather. The idea was born when the two women brought their passions for music, dogs, and non-profit together.
Wendy was born with a genetic disease called cystic fibrosis. Throughout her life, she has found great comfort in both music and dogs. Wendy graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh with a Bachelors of Music. She has also been an assistance dog handler for over 5 years.
Heather watched her brother, Bryan, fight with a childhood cancer for three years and saw the amazing joy and happiness that therapies of all kinds brought him and the other patients. After her brother's passing, she wanted to continue giving back. Her family started their own non profit in Green Bay, and she received her Masters degree in Non Profit from Hamline University. Heather and Adam adopted a dog, Penny, and Heather trained her to be a therapy dog to provide comfort to those that need it.
